A+P House by Bauart Architects

Besides those libraries that don’t allow food and drink, the quiet of those cavernous book depositories seems like a decent place to live. The A+P House by Bauart Architects in Meilen, Switzerland comes awfully close, crammed full of bookshelves in almost every room on all six floors of this expansive and angular residence. The exterior of stacked wood highlights the vertical nature of the house, which happens to inhabit a space of real estate perched perfectly upon a cliff that makes for some vertically impressive views. A residence wouldn’t be worth talking about if it didn’t have incredible vistas both inside and out, and the A+P House (including its gold ceiling) meets both criteria.
